To be strongly avoided! Really !

I don't know what to think of my visit. It was a Sunday evening and we were desperately looking for a table in a pizzeria for 6 people since all the pizzerias in the area were full. What was our astonishment then when we arrived at the Bettola, completely empty! Before even crossing the threshold of the door, a waiter calls out to us and tells us that the pizzeria accepts ONLY CASH MONEY and suggests that we go to the distributor of a grocery store. He told us that we had to hurry because the machine was closing at 8 p.m. After withdrawing the money we were able to sit down and order. We had to insist on being able to have a simple carafe of water instead of small bottles of Cristaline at € 2.50 each. We had to wait about 30 minutes before being served but that was probably due to the fact that there was only one cook. When receiving our dishes we noticed that the waiter did not remember the names of the pizzas he was holding in his hand. In addition, my friend ended up with lasagna instead of ravioli, it's rather strange that there is an error in the dishes when there are only 6 people to serve in the pizzeria. The taste of the lasagna left something to be desired and the pizzas were clearly too salty. Some of my friends haven't even finished their plates. Finally, at the time of the bill, the waiter hands us a receipt written by hand. I found this method unprofessional. I now understand why this restaurant was empty. I put however 2 stars for the friendliness and innocence of the waiter.

Everything was way too salty and we ate almost nothing. When the waiter cleared and noticed that our plates were still full, I told him that everything was much too salty, he did not even answer .... he just brought us the bill ... to avoid !!! Nothing Italian in this restaurant !!!! Pizza, pasta and lasagna, everything was bad !!! Catch tourists !!!

Cozy place, good service. But the food is poor. Pizza seems to be made with ready-made dough and poor quality ingredients.

Food was ok. They wrote on menu that credit card would be accepted. We wanted to pay with card, but were told it was not possible. Had to go to ATM for cash money and pay for service. Never again!

For our first time in Amsterdam, this pizzeria is very disappointing. The reception is not very warm. When ordering, we wanted a bottle of water with pizzas and the server pretends not to understand and brings us 2 mineral water at 2.5 € each. Then come the pizzas. We have never eaten pizzas with this paw too hard and difficult to eat. It was not a pizza paw or it had to be missing ingredients. In addition, at the time of addition, the server decided to round the note for I imagine taking his little tip (the price of 2 bottles of water was apparently not enough). The place was not clean and the toilets either. In short, for a 1st restaurant and a first time in Amsterdam it is very disappointing. Fortunately, for the rest of the stay we were more attentive to the reviews on the Internet

When we ordered pizza it appeared after fifteen minutes that there was no pizza tonno available .... Eventually received a half-burned pizza .... Very Sin ... Not recommendable. Staff are totally disorganized, just bring around some pizzas and ask who ordered them. Simply without a system. There were four of us there and 2 of us were already halfway ready when the rest got their pizzas. Below average taste. The dough is far too hard and has no taste and overall significantly less tomato sauce on the whole pizza. At the next table was pointed out "The oven is not good, food takes about half an hour". Had we known this before ordering, we would not have ordered at all. And proud prices. Never again.

Absolutely the worst pizzas we have ever had. Undercooked, almost inedible. Unfriendly service. The 3 employees just stood around talking loudly while we ate. When we requested the bill, they said cash only. When we didn’t have enough cash, their credit card service miraculously became available. Stairs to WC we’re steep and dangerous. No toilet paper in ladies room. Stay away from this dump.

This afternoon eaten pizza, what an uninterested service. Horrible! Man with glasses (owner?) Is noisy on his own terrace to have a heated telephone conversation (in language anything but Italian). From the inside, a quarrel talks about the terrace, between a female staff member and another staff member about working hours. Unbelievable what an amateurs, pizza quality nothing better than what is for sale in supermarket. I can't imagine anyone coming back here for a second time, really 3x nothing restaurant. No kind of manners / from mountain area all but Italian, 3x must ask for bill. What a letdown, I won't see me again.

We have been coming here for more than 10 years with four of us. Always great, but very disappointed today. Operation seemed uninterested. First 2 entrees arrived, 1 was not what we ordered. Returned and correct dish (with tuna) 2 served within a reasonable time. Smelled dirty and turned out to be spoiled. Kitchen admitted that people were already afraid of that. Then why would you think served? No trace of the other 2 entrees. However, the main courses were brought almost flush with the first 2 starters. Service thought it was strange that we first wanted appetizers. The rest of the order still did not arrive after a long wait and we finally left. Operation did not understand what problem was. Pizzabakker (who knew us) did and was shy with the situation. No concept of operation. Unfortunately, for us no more la Bettola ......

Not the best I've had but pretty good food was cooked fresh. Communication lacked a little. Small place.

Very good. Despite the closing cafe. The cook or the owner (and maybe at the same time) asked me if I was hungry. After that poured wine. And cooked a pizza, so fucking, mentally in a cafe I was not long ago. If you happen to be in Amsterdam again, I will definitely come.

If you want to get sick, this is the place to be. Most unhygienic restaurant in whole Netherlands. What a disgrace.

Worst restaurant I have been to in my life. I ordered pizza here yesterday and I was vomiting within one hour!!! I still feel sick now. This place should be shut down, they are unhygienic! I have never experienced having to vomit after just ONE hour of eating food.

The quality of the pizza was average and the service was quite slow although it didn't have many customers. It's good enough for a quick bite.

Great choice of pizza (and pasta and salads . . . ). With really light, crispy bases! Served quickly. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit for a light lunch or brunch. ????

Very nice service and good service! Eaten deliciously with a large group. When we all arrived with empty telephone batteries after walking around in Amsterdam for a day, charging was no problem. The pizzas had a nice crispy bottom and the price-quality ratio was good! Around 10 euros per person for a pizza with a drink dr. In addition, the staff was very friendly and in for a chat. Cozy place and definitely recommended!

Worst Italian place I’ve ever visited. They just had pasta carbonara and one type of salad out eight. I tried to pay with credit card and they told me that they don’t have POS (although it’s announced an the entrance). I would never recommend to go.

Soup from a can and not freshed salad. The pizza is nice but nothing more. Notice they don’t get credit card. Service is OK.

I do not think I've ever been so bad in a "restaurant" if you can define it. I put a star because you can not put less. We entered on Saturday night, a totally empty place. The pizzaiolo coughed and blew his nose when preparing pizzas. The bill was not divisible, must pay one for titttper force. Pizzas submerged in oil with garlic (not written on the menu and do not tell you anything, if a person is allergic to garlic can also die), very poor pizzas. At the time of paying, they do not have a pos so you can only pay cash (even if not specified anywhere). Bathroom in unmanageable conditions, disgusting. Very poor environment.
